"Elementary course on the Franciscan Missionary Charism"

The title means two aspects:

Study-reflect program

Primary objective of the course is to offer the Franciscan communities worldwide, and also to laymen ("friends of Francis and Clare") who are interested, an instrument to know deeper the Franciscan charism, its story and development, its significance for the evangelization, for living a Franciscanly marked life in our time, and for the inter Franciscan cooperation.

  • World Environment Day Celebrations in the Wild

    Hermann BorgOn Monday 5th June was World Environment day popularly known as WED, the theme for 2017 being connecting people with nature. The event was celebrated worldwide with various stakeholders, organizations cooperate, and community members embracing the day in different ways from clean up exercises, awareness creation, carrying out school outreach programs, tree planting among others.

  • Pope: 'current migration crisis greatest tragedy after WW2'

    Papst Generalaudience(Vatican Radio) Pope Francis has called for an ongoing commitment to welcome and integrate forced migrants and refugees and described the current migration phenomenon as the world’s greatest tragedy after the Second World War.

    Speaking on Wednesday to crowds gathered in St. Peter’s Square for the weekly General Audience, the Pope also continued his catechesis on Christian hope and appealed to the faithful to ‘re-discover’ the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

  • Pope: The Spirit makes us free, without compromise, rigidity

    Papst in Santa Marta(Vatican Radio) Never forget that our faith is concrete, and rejects compromises and idealizations. That was the message of Pope Francis at the morning Mass at the Casa Santa Marta.

    Among those present at the Mass were the Cardinal counselors of the C-9, who are meeting with the Holy Father on Monday. The Pope reflected on the liberty the Holy Spirit gives us, which brings about the proclamation of the Gospel without compromises or rigidity.

  • Pope to join youth in prayer ahead of Synod

    Papst mit JugendlichenYoung Catholics will pray together with Pope Francis at a vigil to mark the 32nd World Youth Day.
    The meeting on April 8 at the Basilica of Saint Mary Major will be the first between the pontiff and young people in the journey of preparation for the Synod of Bishops in October 2018 that will explore the theme of “Youth, Faith and Vocational Discernment”.

    The event, one of many to take place at a diocesan level on Palm Sunday this year, will also form part of the build up to the next international World Youth Day that will take place in Panama in 2019.

Nichols of WestminsterVatican Radio) The President of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of England and Wales, Cardinal Vincent Nichols of Westminster, has written to Pope Francis on behalf of the whole Conference, to offer con-gratulations on the fourth anniversary of the Holy Father's election to the See of Peter, which took place on march 13, 2013.

    Cardinal Nichols offers expressions of gratitude for the Holy Father's steadfast leadership.
